When I came to the United States in 1987, my dream was to earn a master's degree in environmental engineering. But life had other plans. I came from a family that worked with leather back home, and before long, I realized my true passion wasn't in blueprints — it was in craftsmanship.

In 1992, I opened my first small shop on Orchard Street in New York City. It was called Leather Experts back then — a tiny storefront with a big dream. I used to say it was "the little engine that could," and honestly, it was. I worked long days and longer nights, one customer at a time, focusing on honesty, quality, and service. By 1995, that small dream evolved into Daniel's Leather — and that's where the real story began.

Today, Daniel's Leather has become a household name in New York City fashion — known for luxury outerwear that blends craftsmanship, culture, and character.

We carry a curated mix of our own leather, fur, and shearling designs, along with renowned brands like Pelle Pelle, Avirex, Jeff Hamilton, and others. Some of our pieces are exclusive Daniel's Leather originals, handcrafted right here in NYC, while others come directly from the legendary labels that helped shape streetwear and hip-hop history.

Our mission has always been the same: to bring the best of both worlds under one roof — the timeless quality of custom luxury pieces and the heritage of iconic brands that define urban fashion.
